At present, the central LIT JINR servers comprise:

a)  Parallel supercomputer  Exemplar SPP2000;

b)  Dual-processor information server  DEC Alpha 2100 4/233,  intended for work under  project BAFIZ;

c)  Server SUN intended for information support of RDMS CMS collaboration;

d)  Linux cluster is used for calculation and simulation in the framework of collaborations LCG, ALICE, ATLAS, CMS, LHCb, DIRAC, D0, HARP, COMPASS, NEMO, FOTON and some others. Some disk servers from the structure of the Linux cluster give a needed space to store programs and data;

e)  The site of project LCG2 consists of several servers of support of the LCG infrastructure and 15 dual-processor computing nodes.The users registered in one of the virtual   LCG,   organizations can use for their tasks all global LCG resources through the machine of user interface LCG (UI) - lxpub03.jinr.ru.

To support of computer channels, the network, file and information service, the CISCO-router and specialized servers are used.

The users of the JINR Information Infrastructure are provided with the following basic set of opportunities:

  • E-mail;
  • Fast exchange of files (FTP);
  • The removed access (ssh);
  • Viewing of system news (news);
  • Information service WWW;
  • Work in an interactive mode from removed terminals and personal computers.

The software of the Complex includes the network packages implementing protocols TCP/IP, NETWARE, traditional programming systems, data base management systems (DBMS), program libraries CERNLIB, PAW, ROOT and other applied software used in physical centers for carrying out experimental and theoretical studies.
