Abstract:
Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) is currently under construction in the GSI (Darmstadt, Germany).On this facility the CBM (Compressed Baryonic Matter) experiment, which is being developed by a big international collaboration with the active participation of scientists from JINR, is planned.    I.A. Savin: "Spin Physics Experiments at NICA-SPD with polarized proton and deuteron beams (presentation of the Letter of Intent)"
Abstract:
We propose to perform study of the spin structure of nucleons via measurement of asymmetries in production of Drell-Yan pairs, J/psi mesons and direct photons in collisions of polarized protons and deuterons at the NICA-SPD setup. Other spin-dependent processes can be studied in parallel.The set of these measurements will supply complete information about all leading twist collinear and TMD PDFs.
