Aleksandr  Pavlovich  Sapozhnikov - Candidate of Sciences (Physics and Mathematics)
  Professional programmer, expert in the field of operation systems of mainframe computers.

Born:  27 August 1951 in Yaroslavl

Education:  Graduated MSU, Faculty of Computing Mathematics and Cybernetics (1973)

Professional career:

Researcher, Senior Researcher, Head of Sector, Chief Engineer.
1973 - Start of JINR LCTA working.
1975 - 1992 - One of the leading developers of operation system "Dubna" for BESM-6 computer.
During several years introduced the operation system to large research centres across the former USSR.
1981 - 1986 - proposed and realized a conception of program modelling of virtual memory in ESAPI-2B, the largest national system of designing printed boards.
1984 - Candidate of Science (Physics and Mathematics).
1984 - Proposed an original method for topological sorting of graph as a basis of an effective algorithm of solving a system of Kirchoff equations on the frame tree of the electricity supply network graph.
Author of the widely used in Russia software complex for calculation and optimization of the city electric switch networks.
1986 - 1992 - Member of LCTA team that developed microprogram controlled computer successive both the BESM-6 machine and the Elbrus-B processor designed at IPMCE.
1995 - Head of Sector LCTA, JINR.
2005 - 2007 - Chief Engineer of the Laboratory of Information Technologies, JINR
Since 2007 - Senior Researcher of LIT Sector of Development and Standardization of Applied Software

Research interests:
Operation systems, programming tools, compilers, methods for data storing and processing, practical application of graphs theory, research in the area of paralleling computing algorithms.

1984 - Problems of tool support for problems of AMS class.
1991 - Organization principles and structure OS MKB-8601.
1991 - Emulation of BESM-6 Operation System.

Awards, Prizes:
2003 - Veteran of Atomic Engineering and Industry,
2006 - Honorary diploma of JINR.
