Since 2025, the Dubna branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University has been training students in the educational master’s program “Data Processing Methods and Technologies in Heterogeneous Computing Environments” within specialty 01.04.02 Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

The master’s program was elaborated in the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies and is aimed at training specialists with expertise in the methodology of organizing computing for large-scale scientific projects. The program embraces close interaction with JINR research projects in various areas of physics, radiation biology, and other scientific fields. Graduates will master all stages of implementing these projects: the design, modeling, and construction of an experimental facility, the creation of a distributed computer system, from a subsystem for collecting, filtering, and preprocessing to a subsystem for organizing the distributed storage, processing, and analyzing information. They will learn to comprehend the specifics of scientific experiments and be well prepared for work on the NICA, Baikal-GVD, JUNO, and other megascience projects.Магистерская программа разработана в Лаборатории информационных технологий и нацелена на подготовку специалистов, владеющих методологией организации компьютинга для крупных научных проектов.

The program provides the in-depth study of data processing and analysis methods, including machine learning, neural networks, work with Big Data, parallel and distributed computing.
