Solovjeva (LIT JINR) Application of parallelization methods implemented in the ROOT package, at software development for processing experimental data on modern computing architectures with a heterogeneous structure The questions of efficiency of application of various techniques of parallelization of the programs realized in a package ROOT are considered. For various test tasks, the performance of PROOF (Parallel ROOt Facility), OpenMP technology, the use of special classes and functions implementing explicit and implicit multithreading in the ROOT environment are compared. The results of computational experiments are used to create highly efficient data processing programs. The program PSD2SAS for data transformation of the position-sensitive detector of a small-angle neutron scattering spectrometer in the case of an isotropically scattering sample is presented. The use of parallel algorithms in the development of software for the data collection system for the Baikal project is discussed.
