MLIT staff members at conferences MLIT Senior Researcher Konstantin Chizhov delivered a talk at the prestigious international conference “Mathematics of Artificial Intelligence 2025” (MathAI 2025), which was held on 24–28 March in Sochi on the Sirius Federal Territory. The work presented at MathAI 2025 was devoted to the application of the random forest regression algorithm and the Shapley additive explanation to evaluate the effective dose rate in high-energy neutron fields based on Bonner spectrometer measurements. The co-authors of the work were two students of Dubna State University, Artem Beliy and Maria Starikovskaya. The conference focuses on novel mathematical methods and approaches for artificial intelligence systems. The mission of the conference is to create a unique platform for the world’s leading experts in mathematics and theoretical programming to exchange opinions and ideas in order to combine efforts in the enhancement of intelligent software systems. This time, MathAI 2025 brought together scientists from Russia, China, Great Britain, Azerbaijan, and other countries. A total of 75 reports and over 40 conference materials were presented. During these same days, Oksana Streltsova, Head of the MLIT Sector of Heterogeneous Computing and Quantum Information Science, delivered a plenary report at the VI All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Prospects for the Development of Mathematical Education in the Era of Digital Transformation”, which took place on 27–29 March in Tver. The talk presented the application of artificial intelligence methods to solve tasks arising in radiobiological research conducted at the JINR Laboratory of Radiation Biology and the Burnazyan Federal Medical Biophysical Center. It was also paid attention to the ML/DL/HPC ecosystem of the HybriLIT heterogeneous computing platform, on which algorithms were developed, and web services for automating experimental data analysis were deployed. Co-authors of the presented work: Tatevik Bezhanyan, Maxim Zuev, Dmitry Podgainy, Sara Shadmehri (all from MLIT JINR), and Maxim Bondarev (Dubna State University). The organizer of this annual conference is the Faculty of Mathematics of Tver State University. The goal of the conference is to organize a space for open dialogue between representatives of the scientific and pedagogical community and for the discussion of current issues of the digital transformation of mathematical education. The organizers strive to create conditions for enhancing teachers’ professional skills, as well as to promote the dissemination of best practices in the application of digital technologies in education. This year, MLIT Scientific Leader Vladimir Korenkov joined the organizing committee of the conference.
