Conference GRID'2020 postponed until July 2021!
The 9th International Conference "Distributed Computing and Grid-technologies in Science and Education" (GRID 2020) will be held at the Laboratory of Information Technologies (LIT) of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) on July 2021.
The conference similar to GRID'2010 will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Nikolay Govorun who was one of the founders of the Laboratory of Information Technologies at JINR.
At present, these distributed computing and grid technologies allow federated computing centers around the world to provide resources to highly distributed user communities. Modern technologies require the development of high-performance and high-throughput computing. The coverage of these activities encompasses not only various fields of natural sciences, but also business and industry. Over the last years, the implemented distributed computing model has enabled the solution of a wide range of tasks, involving the processing of an enormous amount of data.
This is a unique Conference, held in Russia on the questions related to the use of distributed computing in various areas of science, education, industry and business.
The main purpose of the Conference is to discuss the current Grid operation and the future role of distributed and cloud computing, HPC, BigData etc. in Russia and worldwide. This time it will also include a session on Quantum information processing, which is a rapidly developing and promising trend in the IT field. The Conference provides a platform for discussing fresh results and establishing contacts for closer cooperation in the future.
