Thursday, October 21, 2021 15:00 MLIT Room 310, Online seminar via Webex Kareem H. El-Safty (Egypt) (Wigner Research Centre for Physics and Alexandria Quantum Computing Group) Quantum Machine Learning, A practical overview of the most anticipated NISQ potential Quantum machine learning (QML) is a direct promising application of the emerging quantum computing industry. Nevertheless, it’s still not clear how to interpret its theoretical advantage in our daily lives. In this talk, we shall discuss the current status of the QML field, the potential applications, and future directions. Specifically, topics such as Quantum Kernels and Barren Plateaus will be explored. Moreover, the ideas of using ML techniques for modelling quantum systems and Wigner functions will be introduced. More information on the seminar and the link to connect via Webex are available at Indico.
