Seminar "The role of computing in scientific research" Dear colleagues, Association of Young Scientists and Specialists (AYSS) of JINR informs: on Thursday, September 22, at 4:00 PM, in the hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side) a seminar by MLIT researcher Igor Pelevanyuk "The role of computing in scientific research " will be held. “Science has been existing for a very long time, but computers – the way we know them now – emerged only 80 years ago. At that time, machines able to conduct operations with 0 and 1 became the result of achievements in science. Now they themselves are a condition for unique and complicated scientific research,” the speaker comments on the seminar topic. Audience will learn: Why is it so? How are computers developing?
