Congratulations to Andrey Gennadievich Dolbilov!

On 29 August 2023, Andrey Gennadievich Dolbilov, Chief Engineer of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, celebrates his 60th birthday.

A.G. Dolbilov graduated from Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology in 1986 with a degree in Electronics and Automation of Physical Facilities. In April 1986, he came to work at Laboratory of Nuclear Problems (LNP) in JINR, first as an engineer, and in 2006, he was transferred to the position of head of the sector. From the first days of his work at JINR, Andrei Gennadievich got into the team of specialists from different laboratories of the Institute, which, under the leadership of V.P. Shirikov participated in the development and creation of multi-machine and terminal networks. As a result of these works, in the 90s of the last century, JINR was connected to the International Computer Network, which made it possible for JINR physicists to communicate with world scientific centers. With his active participation, at Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems (DLNP), a laboratory element of the GRID global computing network was created, and the work of an intricate engineering complex of the computer network, which covers more than 900 computers and network devices, was organized.

In December 2015, A.G. Dolbilov started working at the Laboratory of Information Technologies as Chief Engineer.

Andrey Gennadievich is JINR’s leading specialist in the creation and operation of computer networks and computing technology. It should be noted that the JINR Network Service is a community of like-minded people, all efforts of which are aimed at providing JINR staff members with information and network services. A.G. He is the author and co-author of several dozen journal articles and reports at International and Russian conferences.

Fruitful work of A.G. Dolbilov was awarded well-deserved awards, namely, the departmental badge of distinction in labor "Veteran of Nuclear Energy and Industry", JINR’s Honorary Diploma, Letter of Acknowledgment from the Governor of the Moscow Region. In 2016, he was awarded the title of “Honorary Fellow of JINR”.
