To carry out such diagnostics, the best is to apply the proton computed tomography (PCT). The use of digital tracking calorimeters is a new method in PCT, which allows reconstruct a large number of the trajectories of protons, and so will simplify the assembly of the system and provide more accurate information in clinical research. The development of a digital calorimeter prototype based on monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS) includes the stages of designing the geometry structure and modeling physical processes using special software.
