KAZYMOV Andrey Igorevich 09.05.1970 – 01.05.2024

On May 1, 2024, the leading programmer of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, Andrey Igorevich Kazymov, passed away.

Kazymov A.I. was born on May 09, 1970 in the city of Tommot, Aldan region, Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

From 1987 to 1993 he studied and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 1992, he completed an internship at JINR.

From 1993 to 1996 he worked at LCTA JINR as an electronics engineer. In 1994 he was seconded to CERN to work with ORACLE databases, where he established himself as a skillful and competent specialist. Upon returning to Russia, Andrei Igorevich worked in various organizations in Moscow, and in 2011 he returned to work at LIT JINR.

From 2011 to 2013 he worked as a programmer under contract agreements with LIT JINR on the topic ATLAS. Since 2013, he was hired under a contract for the position of leading programmer in the distributed computing systems sector of the Division of Software and Information Support. Andrey Igorevich took part in the creation and support of the TDAQ ATLAS operational monitoring system, created PBEAST plugins for various versions of the GRAFANA platform. The results of his work are actively used in the LHC ATLAS experiment, including in the experiment’s operational control room. Andrey Igorevich participated in the modernization of the monitoring system of the EventIndex project of the ATLAS experiment..

During his time working in the Laboratory, Andrey Igorevich established himself as a highly qualified specialist.

Tactful and friendly attitude to people, responsiveness and modesty earned Kazymov A.I. the respect of colleagues at work.
