At the 136th session of the JINR Scientific Council The 136th session of the Scientific Council of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research was held in Dubna on September 12–13. The session participants heard a report by JINR Director, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Grigory Trubnikov, dedicated to the results of scientific work and achievements of the Institute in 2024. The report presented the decisions of the session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries ( CP) of the Governments of the JINR Member States, the progress of the main projects of the Topical Plan for 2024, the results of the Institute's work to strengthen international cooperation, as well as the results of JINR's activities in the field of training scientific personnel. In the part of the report dedicated to the scientific work of the Institute, Grigory Trubnikov noted the particularly significant results obtained in the JINR Laboratories, in the main projects and experiments of the Institute. Among the achievements of the JINR Laboratory of Information Technologies, the Director emphasized the continued development of the Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex (MICC), noted that the Supercomputer "Govorun" is gradually increasing its capacity every six months, and that at the moment the maximum performance of the SC is 1.7 Petaflops in double-precision calculations. The report also noted new services based on the HybriLIT platform and their implementation in research in the field of quantum computing and bioinformatics. At the 136th session of the JINR Scientific Council, new members of the JINR Programme Advisory Committees (PAC) were approved, elections were held for the position of Director of the JINR Laboratory of Radiation Biology, decisions of the jury of the JINR Bogolyubov, Dzhelepov and Flerov Prizes were approved, laureates of the OGANESSON international prize for 2024 were announced, scientific reports and reports of young scientists recommended at the sessions of the JINR PACs were presented. At the end of the open part of the meeting, Grigory Trubnikov and the Chief Scientific Secretary of the Institute Sergey Nedelko ceremoniously presented diplomas to the laureates of the JINR Prizes for 2023. The awards were given for the best scientific, scientific-methodological and scientific-technical applied works. The diploma holders were the employees of the Laboratory of Information Technologies N.N. Voitishin, V.V. Korenkov, V.V. Palchik, S.V. Shmatov, among others, who received the second JINR Prize for 2023 for Physics Instruments and Methods. The work of the session ended with the adoption of the JINR Scientific Council resolution.
