MLIT JINR at the International Scientific and Practical Conference named after A.I. Kitov On 20 March 2025, Vladimir Korenkov, Scientific Leader of the JINR Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, participated in the XIV International Scientific and Practical Conference named after A.I. Kitov “Information Technologies and Mathematical Methods in Economics and Management” (IT&MM’2025). The two-day event was organized at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (PRUE). In addition to the talk at the plenary session, Vladimir Korenkov was a member of the IT&MM’2025 program committee. The IT&MM’2025 conference focused on the urgent issues of creating and using advanced methods of automating information interaction and processing systems. The IT&MM’2025 plenary session was devoted to advanced information technologies and mathematical methods in the field of economics, management and education. The major attention of the event participants was paid to the current issues of the development of the digital economy and digital business. Vladimir Korenkov delivered a talk on data processing methods and technologies in heterogeneous computing environments. MLIT Scientific Leader presented the Laboratory’s scientific projects to support large-scale megascience projects implemented at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and worldwide. First of all, he talked about computing at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. “Due to geopolitical reasons, since the beginning of this year, MLIT JINR has remained the only scientific organization in Russia in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) project that continues its participation as a large data processing and storage center for the experiments at the LHC,” Vladimir Korenkov pointed out. The speaker also gave attention to such megascience projects as NICA, Baikal-GVD, JUNO, and SKIF. Vladimir Korenkov spoke about the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex created at the Laboratory, its structure and capabilities. Particular attention was devoted to MLIT’s experience in integrating into a unified environment various computing resources not only of the Joint Institute, but also computing clusters in other scientific organizations around the world. Vladimir Korenkov dwelled upon MLIT tasks in the field of methods, algorithms and software for data processing and analysis, the creation of digital twins and digital ecosystems, as well as upon MLIT developments in applied research, including the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence methods. The IT&MM’2025 agenda embraced a plenary session and six thematic sections. The conference was attended by leading scientists, teachers and students from PRUE, JINR, FRC “Informatics and Control” of the RAS, the Institute of Control Sciences of the RAS, Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the NASU, the Higher School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, MPEI, MAI, MIPT, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and other leading universities and research centers in Russia and worldwide.
