Information technologies in the solution of scientific and applied tasks presented to Far East physics teachers and students

On 20 March 2025, MLIT Deputy Director Nikolay Voytishin participated in a regional scientific and educational seminar on physics experiments and the basics of project activities within the Physics subject, which was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The participants of the seminar, organized by the JINR Information Center on the basis of Bering Kamchatka State University (KamSU) and the JINR University Center, were KamSU students and physics teachers from Kamchatka and the Primorsky region.

At the seminar, Nikolay Voytishin delivered a talk on the application of information technologies in solving scientific and applied tasks and on the importance of IT in the modern world. It was demonstrated how information technologies helped speed up and enhance the effectiveness of research. Such methods as Big Data analysis, complex systems modeling and the development of innovative solutions were considered. Examples and approaches to the successful use of IT for solving tasks arising during the implementation of the projects of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research were given.

Within the seminar, meetings with the management of KamSU and Kamchatka State Technical University to discuss cooperation with JINR were organized, and a round table discussion on the development of natural science education in Kamchatka was conducted. UC Director Dmitry Kamanin and UC specialists, Ivan Lomachenkov, Maria Pilipenko, Petr Shirkov, took part in the seminar, events, and meetings.
