Visit of MLIT Scientific Leader to MISIS On 24 April 2025, MLIT Scientific Leader Vladimir Korenkov co-organized and participated in a public lecture by FLNR Scientific Leader, RAS Academician Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian, which took place in Moscow at the MISIS University of Science and Technology. On the eve of the lecture, a meeting between Yuri Oganessian and Vladimir Korenkov with the MISIS management was held. On behalf of MISIS, the meeting was attended by Rector Alevtina Chernikova, First Vice-Rector Sergey Salikhov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Andrey Voronin and other university staff members. Vice-Rector for Educational and Methodological Work of Dubna University Olga Anisimova also took part in the events. As part of the visit, the guests of MISIS were introduced to the scientific research and technical equipment of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and the Laboratory of Advanced Solar Energy. Yuri Oganessian’s lecture “Heavyweights in the Periodic Table” at MISIS attracted a wide audience both in person and online. The topic of the lecture was the periodic law of D.I. Mendeleev’s table, as well as JINR’s scientific program and experimental research, which resulted in the discovery of superheavy elements that filled the 7th period of the table. Within the events at MISIS, Vladimir Korenkov held a number of meetings to discuss opportunities for enhancing and strengthening cooperation, during which the next practical steps for developing collaboration, particularly in the area of personnel training, were outlined.
