Meetings in Hanoi On 10–16 May 2025, within a JINR delegation, MLIT Scientific Secretary Olga Derenovskaia visited a number of universities and scientific centers in Vietnam. The visit of JINR representatives, including scientists from VBLHEP, FLNP, and FLNR, was organized by the JINR University Center and was devoted to education and personnel training. Olga Derenovskaia introduced MLIT’s activities to the general scientific community of Vietnam, speaking at the Hanoi University of Science (VNU-HUS), the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and the Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE). MLIT Scientific Secretary’s talk was devoted to an overview of the Laboratory’s scientific areas, including participation in megascience projects such as NICA, experiments at the LHC at CERN, the Baikal-GVD and JUNO neutrino projects. The report also covered the directions of applied work and interlaboratory projects. The audience was presented with the MLIT Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex and its capabilities. Particular attention was paid to the Laboratory’s educational direction, namely, IT schools and large scientific conferences held by MLIT on a regular basis. In addition, the talk on MLIT’s activities was delivered at the soft opening of the JINR Information Center, held in the format of a seminar at the Institute of Physics of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). The possibilities of access to MLIT’s computing power aroused great interest among the audience. The event was attended by Vietnam’s Plenipotentiary Representative at JINR and VAST Vice President, Professor Tran Tuan Anh, employees of the VAST Department of International Cooperation, researchers and Director of the Institute of Physics Dinh Van Trung, along with specialists and representatives of the VAST and VINATOM research and university centers. The official opening of the Information Center is planned for 2026. Olga Derenovskaia participated in round tables on the issues of training personnel in the field of nuclear energy at the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) and the VINATOM Nuclear Training Centre.
