MLIT young scientists at meeting of JINR PAC for Nuclear Physics

On 19–20 June 2025, the 61st meeting of the JINR Program Advisory Committee for Nuclear Physics (PAC NP) took place at the International Conference Center. MLIT young researchers Anna Ilina and Andrey Kondratyev presented the results of their work at the PAC NP within the poster session of JINR young scientists.

MLIT junior researcher Anna Ilina gave an overview and spoke about the development prospects of a web service created with her direct participation in her report entitled “Digital Map of Technologies: Detectors, Accelerators, Competencies”. The “Map of Detector Technologies” service contains information about the areas of activity, projects and specific facilities of JINR, taking into account their connections with each other. The graph of connections built by the program provides the overall picture of the technologies that the Institute has. Each technology has a separate window for visualizing the materials, components, competencies, and equipment related to it. Each node or technology has keywords associated with them. The program allows one to search by keywords, the name of nodes or technologies, as well as by words in the description. At the end of 2024, the program received a state registration certificate of the Russian Federation No. 2024687896. In the future, this project plans to perform work on enhancing semantic search algorithms. In addition, it is planned to start developing a similar service in the field of accelerator technologies.

MLIT junior researcher Andrey Kondratyev delivered a talk on work conducted by the MLIT team to search and systematize scientific publications for the JINR digital repository. To ensure the availability of the results of JINR scientists’ investigations, work to develop the functionality of the repository for the automated collection of bibliographic metadata and its integration with the PIN information system containing data on JINR staff members is underway. Such automation enables to significantly reduce the duplication and manual entry of data on publications, to simplify access to scientific information and enhance the efficiency of its analysis. The repository integrates data from trusted sources (InspireHEP, eLibrary, Scopus) into a unified system, provides long-term storage and convenient access to the Institute’s information assets. At present, the repository database comprises information on almost 14 thousand publications of JINR employees. Within this work, in May of this year, a state registration certificate of the Russian Federation No. 2025670023 was received, and another certificate is expected to be obtained in the near future.
