MLIT at the International Youth School in Kazakhstan Director of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies Sergei Shmatov lectured at the International School entitled “Introduction to High Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies”. The event took place on 13–17 October 2025 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The School is designed for undergraduate, postgraduate, and master’s students specializing in high-energy physics, nuclear physics, and accelerator physics. The five-day program embraced lectures by leading experts, practical classes, and a visit to the experimental facilities of the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP). MLIT Director Sergei Shmatov delivered a lecture on distributed and high-performance computing in data processing for high-energy physics experiments conducted with the participation of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. In addition, Senior Researcher at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics Maria Savina and Head of the Straw Detector Group at the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics Temur Enik gave lectures on behalf of JINR. Sergey Shmatov, Director of MLIT, Sayabek Sakhiev, Director of the INP, and Maratbek Gabdullin, Chairman of the Management Board of KBTU As part of his visit to Kazakhstan, MLIT Director Sergei Shmatov met with INP Director General Sayabek Sakhiev. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation and outlined new joint research projects. The International School in Almaty was organized by the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP), the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The significance of this School for Kazakhstan was confirmed by the participation in the opening ceremony of such prominent figures in the country’s science as Didar Batryshev, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Timur Zhantikin, Deputy Chairman of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sayabek Sakhiev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan at JINR and INP Director General. Chairman of the KBTU Board Maratbek Gabdullin also welcomed the audience.
