MLIT specialists received Mongolian state awards On 26 December 2025, at the final seminar of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, two MLIT specialists received Mongolian state awards. The awards ceremony was performed by Executive of JINR contacts with Mongolia, Director of the Laboratory of Radiation Biology Aleksander Bugay and MLIT Deputy Director Ochbadrakh Chuluunbaatar. MLIT leading researcher Alexander Gusev was awarded the Government Honorary Medal “Advanced Scientist of Mongolia”. The award was given for his contribution to the development of science and technology in Mongolia, as well as for his long-standing fruitful cooperation with Mongolian scientists. Alexander Gusev’s certificate was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Minister of Economy and Development Nyam-Osoryn Uchral. Alexander Gusev has been collaborating with Mongolian mathematicians since 2000. They have published over 100 joint scientific papers, including two monographs. He was an opponent of two candidate theses and one doctoral thesis of Mongolian mathematicians. He is a consulting professor at the Faculty of Applied Science at the National University of Science and Technology of Mongolia. 2nd category software engineer Mikhail Matveev was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. The award was given for his contribution to the development of science and technology in Mongolia and his long-standing fruitful cooperation with Mongolian scientists. The diploma was signed by President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Academician Sodnomsambuu Demberel. In 2019, within a grant from the Plenipotentiary Representative of Mongolia and support from Theme 1118, the first Fujitsu computing server was purchased for the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Since then, Mikhail Matveev has been actively involved in the system administration of the high-performance computing complex, which currently embraces over 10 servers, in the development of this scientific infrastructure, and the training of the highly qualified national personnel (system administrators).
