The narrative draws on my personal professional experience working at Fermilab and highlights the Laboratory's history, its famous scientists who laid the groundwork for its growth, its world-class scientific achievements and discoveries, the challenges it faced and the solutions developed in response; introduce some exceptional scientists whose contributions were central to the success of the scientific programs. Using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), a landmark experiment in astrophysics, as an example, I also describe the work of the database administrators in Fermilab, in which I was directly involved. Information on the seminar and the link to connect are available at Indico. Сonnecting to MTS Link.
