MLIT specialists among JINR Prize laureates Employees of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies Pavel Akishin and Nikita Balashov became laureates of annual JINR prizes for the best papers in the fields of theoretical research, experimental research, methodological and technical research, and applied research in 2025. The laureates of annual JINR prizes were announced on 19 February 2026 at the 139th session of the JINR Scientific Council, held at the International Conference Center in Dubna. Deputy Head of the MLIT Scientific Department of Computational Physics Pavel Akishin, as part of a team of authors, was awarded the first JINR prize for methodology, research and technology papers: “Development and Creation of Superconducting Magnets for the NICA Collider”. Authors: D. Nikiforov, P. Akishin, Yu. Bespalov, A. Bychkov, D. Zolotykh, S. Korovkin, G. Kuznetsov, A. Merkuryev, M. Petrov, A. Svidetelev. The work with the participation of Nikita Balashov, a 1st category software engineer at the MLIT Distributed Systems Sector, received the second JINR prize for experimental research papers: “Joint Neutrino Oscillation Analysis from the T2K and NOvA Experiments”.
