MLIT’s experience in computing for experimental physics presented to young scientists

The Director of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies spoke at the traditional Winter School of St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute named after B.P. Konstantinov (PNPI, NRC Kurchatov Institute).

Within the Nuclear and Particle Physics session at the 58th PNPI Winter School, MLIT Director Sergei Shmatov delivered a lecture on computing for high-energy physics experiments.

At the School, leading scientists gave lectures on various aspects of theoretical and experimental nuclear physics, particle physics, atomic physics, astrophysics, nuclear reactor physics and engineering, nuclear medicine, and accelerator physics. The School’s lecturers also included scientists from BLTP, DLNP, FLNR, and VBLHEP JINR.

In addition to lectures, the School’s participants, namely, young researchers, graduate and postgraduate students, had the opportunity to present sessional and poster reports. The 58th PNPI Winter School was held in Luga, Leningrad region, on 16–21 March 2026.
