MLIT Director joined new advisory body of Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kazakhstan On 8 April 2026, the first meeting of the Program Advisory Committee of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy (INP PAC) was held at the Institute of Nuclear Physics. Director of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies Sergei Shmatov was one of the international experts of the INP PAC. The launch of the new international expert body at the INP is intended to be a strategic step toward shaping the INP’s long-term scientific and technological policy and integrating it into the global scientific community. The INP PAC brings together leading scientists and experts from Hungary, the Republic of Korea, the United States, Turkey, France, Japan, and the JINR international scientific organization. Director of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems Evgeny Yakushev also became a member of the INP PAC on behalf of the Joint Institute. Opening the first meeting of the INP PAC, INP Director General, Plenipotentiary Representative of Kazakhstan at JINR Sayabek Sakhiyev, who recently visited MLIT JINR, emphasized: “The establishment of the Program Advisory Committee is an important step for the systematic development of the Institute’s scientific fields. International expertise will allow us to build research to world standards and develop the projects of global significance.” More details on the first meeting of the INP PAC.
