MLIT presented to participants of international educational seminar On 15 April 2026, the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies hosted participants of the international educational seminar entitled “Scientific Russia through the Eyes of Foreign Youth: Popularizing Russian Science via Digital Media”. On this day, students and young scientists from 24 countries visited the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. During the seminar, they shared their unique experiences in creating popular science and educational content for social media and other media platforms. The event was organized by the International Center for Innovations in Science, Technology and Education, jointly with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and JINR, with the support of the Gorchakov Fund. MLIT researcher Igor Pelevanyuk gave the seminar participants a tour of the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex (MICC). The guests got familiar with the history of computing technology and JINR’s advanced computing infrastructure, learned about the Laboratory’s major areas of activity and state-of-the-art information technologies to solve scientific and applied tasks. In addition, Igor Pelevanyuk, along with other JINR young scientists, took part as a speaker in the discussion “How to talk about complex things in simple words?”, organized at the JINR Museum. Over 30 foreign students and young scientists from across Russia (Kemerovo, Tomsk, Ufa, Voronezh, Stavropol, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, and St. Petersburg) participated in the seminar on teaching modern tools and formats for promoting science in digital media. The participants gained practical skills in creating content about scientific achievements and technological developments, worked on their own projects, and shared experiences. Many of them highlighted that the event had become a real milestone in their professional and creative development. Read about the event on the JINR website.
