Alla Grigorievna Zaikina celebrates her anniversary On 21 May 2026, Alla Grigorievna Zaikina, a 1st category software engineer of the Scientific Secretary Sector of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, celebrates her anniversary. A.G. Zaikina graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of Uzhgorod University in 1969 and joined the MSU Institute of Nuclear Physics. In August 1971, she started working at LCTA JINR as an engineer. A.G. Zaikina took an active part in the creation of a system of programs for film information processing on the BESM-6 computer. She developed a program for checking the quality of measurements of event elements in stereo images and rejecting poorly measured data arrays in automatic mode and a program for the operational monitoring and determination of beam track parameters based on the results of kinematic event identification. She was the main executor of work on enhancing the GRIND kinematic identification program and creating fast versions of programs designed for specific experiments. With her participation, manuals for the use of GRIND programs and the system of programs for processing on the BESM-6 computer were prepared. A.G. Zaikina is the co-author of 25 scientific papers in the field of physics experiment automation. Since 1995, A.G. Zaikina has been working in the MLIT Scientific Secretary Sector. In 2018, she was transferred to the position of 1st category software engineer. Alla Grigorievna is the secretary of seminars at the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, is responsible for the MLIT section of the JINR News journal, participates in organizing international conferences held by MLIT. A.G. Zaikina is a member of the editorial team of two editions of a book of memoirs about N.N. Govorun. With her active participation, album books dedicated to M.G. Meshcheryakov and N.N. Govorun were published, and an album book entitled “60 Years of the Laboratory of Information Technologies” was prepared for publication. A.G. Zaikina is distinguished by her diligence, responsibility for assigned tasks, discipline, and tact. During her work at the Laboratory, she has proven herself to be a highly qualified specialist, enjoys well-deserved respect within the team. A.G. Zaikina was nominated for the Laboratory’s Honor Board, has the honorary title of Veteran of Labor, and was awarded the departmental badge of distinction in labor “Veteran of Nuclear Energy and Industry” in 2002. In connection with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of JINR, she received a Letter of Gratitude from the JINR Directorate in 2016, JINR’s Certificate of Honor in 2021, and JINR’s Honorary Diploma in 2026 for her contribution to the Institute’s development.
