Happy anniversary to our beloved Laboratory! On 19 August 2026, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of LCTA/MLIT. Order No. 149 on the establishment of a new laboratory within JINR, the Laboratory of Computing Techniques and Automation, was issued on this very day. To mark the anniversary, a section entitled “For the 60th Anniversary of the Laboratory”, was added to the MLIT website. It is dedicated to the people who stood at the Laboratory’s origins, those who shaped its spirit, created its traditions, and continue to develop it today. Here you can view archival photos, videos, bibliographic essays, and staff members’ recollections, which allow us to learn about the Laboratory’s life and how it has changed over the years, beginning with its establishment, and to feel its unique atmosphere. Ahead of us is a festive anniversary autumn: 17 September — opening of the exhibition entitled “The Epoch of “Impulse” at LCTA”; 23 September — gala evening dedicated to MLIT’s 60th anniversary at the Mir Cultural Center; In honor of the anniversary, an album book entitled “Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies. For the 60th Anniversary”, in which the Laboratory’s history is captured in archival photos, was also published. In addition, there will be meetings, memories, new stories, and reasons to look back on the journey that started in 1966. Happy anniversary to our beloved Laboratory!
