The 21st International Workshop on Advanced Computing and Analysis Techniques in Physics Research

October 24, 2022 - October 28, 2022
Villa Romanazzi Carducci
Bari, Italy
The 21st International Workshop on Advanced Computing and Analysis Techniques in Physics Research (ACAT 2022) will take place between Monday 24th and Friday, 28th October, 2022 at the Villa Romanazzi Carducci in Bari, Italy. We hope to see you there!
The 21st edition of ACAT will — once again — bring together computational experts from a wide range of disciplines, including particle-, nuclear-, astro-, and accelerator-physics as well as high performance computing. Through this unique forum, we will explore the areas where these disciplines overlap with computer science, fostering the exchange of ideas related to cutting-edge computing, data-analysis, and theoretical-calculation technologies.

10th Jubilee International Conference on Radiation in Various Fields of Research (RAD 2022)

Jubilee RAD 2022 Conference - Spring Edition)

June 13, 2022 - June 17, 2022
Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort
Herceg Novi, Montenegro
Dear colleagues and friends,
We hope that RAD 2022 will be fine and that we will be able to gather again.
Because spring suits someone, and summer suits someone, but this is a jubilee conference, we decided to organize the RAD 2022 conference twice, in the spring and in the summer, i.e., from 13.06. - 17.06.2022. (Jubilee RAD 2022 Conference - Spring Edition) and from 25.07.-29.07.2022. (Jubilee RAD 2022 Conference – Summer Edition).
Of course, you can participate in both conferences!!!
We also encourage everyone whose work is not directly related to the topics to send us the abstract(s) and participate in RAD 2022 Conference.
  • Abstract submission deadline: February 28, 2022

QCD Research at the U.S. Electron-Ion Collider

January 12, 2022
Online (Zoom)
Dubna, Russia
Dear colleagues!
We kindly invite you to the first JINR Institutional Seminar in 2022.
The Electron Ion Collider (EIC) is a new experimental complex, that is currently being built at Brookhaven National Lab in the U.S. with first operations planed for 2031. The EIC will collide intense, high-energy, polarized beam of electrons and hadrons at center-of-mass energy of 40 – 120 GeV to study the fundamental structure of subatomic matter. For example, the EIC will advance our understand the dynamical generation of hadron mass and spin from quark-gluon interactions in QCD, the three-dimensional structure of nucleons and nuclei, and the emergent properties of dense systems of gluons and more.
The EIC development and construction is a new international project on the first stages of its realization. It provides both new opportunities for the precise research of nuclei and proton, as well as the development of new accelerator and detector technologies using techniques from big data analysis and using pioneer ML and AI features. The project is actively developing and has a wide international support and recognition. This talk will present an overview of the EIC, its physics program, and the proposed ECCE detector.
