New prospects for cooperation with Armenia
On 27 March 2026, during a visit to JINR to participate in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Institute's establishment, Artur Movsisyan, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia at JINR, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, accompanied by Deputy Secretary General of this Committee Karen Gharibyan, visited the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies.

Подведены итоги второго совещания, посвященного компьютингу для мегасайенс
C 10 по 15 марта в поселке Листвянка (Иркутская область, Россия) на уникальном озере Байкал проходило международное рабочее совещание «Компьютинг мегасайенс-проектов физики высоких энергий» – MSCHEP’2026. MLIT Directorate participated in JINR delegation’s visit to NRNU MEPhI
On 2 April 2026, Director of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies Sergei Shmatov and MLIT Scientific Leader Vladimir Korenkov, as part of a JINR delegation headed by JINR Director, RAS Academician Grigory Trubnikov, visited the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (NRNU MEPhI). Prospects for enhancing cooperation with one of the leading technical universities in the Russian Federation were discussed in Moscow.

Anniversary of Vera Vladimirovna Raportirenko
On 10 April 2026, Vera Vladimirovna Raportirenko, a senior technician of the Office Administration, Human Resources and Procurement Group of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, celebrates her anniversary.
V.V. Raportirenko started working at MLIT in 1985 as a typist. In 2005, she was transferred to the position of senior technician in the Procurement Group of the Facilities Department. In a short period of time, she mastered a new area of work, proving herself to be a competent and efficient worker.
In 2022, V.V. Raportirenko was transferred to the Procurement Group as a senior technician. Having experience of independent practical work in the preparation of documents for the acceptance and issuance of material assets, she takes part in annual and unscheduled inventories.

MLIT and RSC Group are planning to jointly develop new equipment
On 31 March 2026, a delegation from the RSC Group of Companies, headed by CEO Alexander Moskovsky, visited the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies. As part of the visit, a seminar on the organization of joint research and development projects took place.
During the seminar, the RSC representatives gave an overview of state-of-the-art computing architectures and shared their extensive experience in developing energy-efficient and high-density computing systems based on advanced cooling technologies for modern electronic devices. RSC Technical Director Egor Druzhinin discussed the company’s ongoing development of a cooling system for high-power-density chips, including for new computing architectures expected to appear by 2030.

On 9-10 April 2026, the JINR Spring School of Information Technologies will take place in a mixed format in the MLIT Conference Hall.

MLIT scientists’ paper published in Issue 6 of Natural Science Review
The sixth issue of the international online scientific journal of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Natural Science Review (NSR), has recently been published. Galina Aleksandrovna Korobova celebrates her anniversary
On 6 April, Galina Aleksandrovna Korobova, a lead programmer of the JINR Network Infrastructure Development and Operation Sector of the Engineering and Technology Department of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, celebrates her anniversary.
G.A. Korobova has been working at MLIT since 1980, after graduating from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. G.A. Korobova actively participated in mastering the development of operating systems, adapted and configured system service virtual machines. She was the main system manager of the ES EVM complex and the complex’s file space administrator.

MLIT’s experience in computing for experimental physics presented to young scientists
The Director of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies spoke at the traditional Winter School of St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute named after B.P. Konstantinov (PNPI, NRC Kurchatov Institute).
Within the Nuclear and Particle Physics session at the 58th PNPI Winter School, MLIT Director Sergei Shmatov delivered a lecture on computing for high-energy physics experiments.
At the School, leading scientists gave lectures on various aspects of theoretical and experimental nuclear physics, particle physics, atomic physics, astrophysics, nuclear reactor physics and engineering, nuclear medicine, and accelerator physics. The School’s lecturers also included scientists from BLTP, DLNP, FLNR, and VBLHEP JINR.

On 26 March 2026, a solemn evening marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research took place. During the celebration, JINR employees who made a considerable contribution to the Institute’s development were recognized with awards, letters of gratitude, and certificates of honor.

MLIT at BM@N meeting
On 24 February – 2 March 2026, the Analysis and Detector Meeting of the BM@N Experiment at NICA was held in Dombay (Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Russia). The Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies is actively participating in the BM@N experiment. MLIT specialists delivered five talks at the meeting.
The meeting took place during Run 9, the ongoing data taking session of the BM@N experiment. To date, over 1.5 billion events with a total volume of more than 1 PB have been collected at collision energies of 2.2 GeV and 1.6 GeV. In the future, experimental data taking is also planned at 3 GeV.

Strengthening collaboration in supercomputing with Russia’s leading university
On 19 February 2026, Scientific Leader of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies Vladimir Korenkov visited Lomonosov Moscow State University. T.A. Strizh has been working at JINR since 1973 after completing her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Throughout the time at LCTA, she proved herself to be a highly qualified specialist in the field of information processing in nuclear physics and high-energy physics. She conducted crucial work on the creation of software packages for processing data from film detectors.

MLIT specialists at 27th JUNO collaboration meeting
Nikita Balashov, a first-category software engineer of the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies, and MLIT trainee researcher Dmitrii Shpotya participated in the latest meeting of the international collaboration of the JUNO experiment.
